Dr. Rosemary Caron selected as the 2015 Outstanding Associate Professor
Dr. Rosemary Caron from the department of Health Management and Policy has been selected as the 2015 Outstanding Associate Professor for UNH. This award is given every year to UNH faculty in each school and college who demonstrate the highest quality teaching, student support and respect, and who make important and extensive contributions to their field.

“Rosemary is committed to student learning, providing the best educational experience for our students, and advancing our knowledge through her research,” said Mike Ferrara, UNH College of Health and Human Services dean and Kent P. Falb Professor of Kinesiology. “She has consistently demonstrated excellence in teaching, research and public engagement, and has been involved in numerous important committees for the University and the greater community.”
Caron arrived at UNH in 2006 and teaches public health courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She is the former director of the Master’s in Public Health (MPH) program in the Department of Health Management and Policy. Prior to entering academia she spent many years working in the public health sector, including as a chronic disease epidemiologist and environmental toxicologist for the Manchester, NH Public Health Department and as chief of the Bureau of Health Statistics and Data Management for the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services.
“I am very humbled for being recognized for doing work that I consider my passion and my calling,” said Caron. “I am filled with deep gratitude for those who made this award possible, and am fortunate to work with outstanding colleagues and leaders here at UNH. I look forward to continuing to serve the University to the best of my ability.”
