Public Health Certificate Program Description
Part of the MPH Program’s Continuing Education Program, the Public Health Certificate (PHC) Program provides a vehicle for individuals working in public or community health positions, with no formal academic background in public health, the opportunity to earn a graduate certificate in public health. The Public Health Certificate requires 12 credits (four three-credit courses) that can be completed over a one-year time period. Students have up to three (3) years to complete the Certificate Program. To enter the Certificate Program, an applicant must have a baccalaureate degree.
Similar to the MPH Program, the Certificate Program is only offered at the UNH Manchester campus through the Center for Graduate and Professional Studies. Classes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Students completing the Certificate Program can apply to enter the MPH Program. If accepted, Certificate credits can be applied to the MPH degree Program.
