Solid technical skills, as well as the ability to teach them, are essential to one's development as an outdoor education professional. Our field coursework is designed to develop students' technical skills while simultaneously reinforcing their leadership and teaching abilities. Whether mountaineering in Alaska, canoeing in the Adirondacks, or climbing seaside cliffs in coastal Maine, our goal is to consistently reinforce students' ability to instruct and make decisions in challenging environments. We offer introductory and advanced level training in areas such as paddlesports, rock climbing, challenge course facilitation, mountaineering, wilderness travel, and emergency medicine. Students in our program become certified Wilderness First Responders, and some continue their medical education to become nationally registered Wilderness Emergency Medical Technicians.  This credential exceeds current standards and gives graduates a leg up when
