Amy Costello is a Project Director at the New Hampshire Institute for Health Policy and Practice, focused primarily on projects in the Health Analytics focal area. As part of her work at the Institute, Amy leads the health data standards initiatives with the APCD Council, a federation of organizations and state agencies that are interested in the development, standardization and utility of all-payer healthcare claims databases.

Amy advises organizations and state agencies that are interested in the development, standardization, and utility of all-payer healthcare claims databases. Amy also works with the Public Health Data Standards Consortium (PHDSC), and represents PHDSC state reporting interests on the National Uniform Billing Committee and National Uniform Claims Committee.

Amy also works closely with the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services on a number of health data-related projects, including the revision and implementation of the NH hospital discharge data collection rules. As part of the NH CDC Assessment Initiative, Amy assists in the development of the HealthWRQS project, a web-based query system designed to make consumer community health information more accessible to community health professionals.
