Welcome to Jessica Carver! CSDC's new Assistant Director
I am happy to report that Jessica Locke will join CSDC on September 24th as our new Assistant Director. Jessica is an alumni of UNH’s Human Development and Family Studies Department. She has worked in lab environments in the past and brings a passion for training those who teach young children. For the past 3 years Jessica has been at the Child Development Bureau leading many state initiatives, including the Credentialing system for the state. Jessica has provided training to hundreds of new and veteran teachers to assist them in creating professional development plans. I am excited to welcome her into our community. Please do take a moment to stop in and say “Hi” once she comes on board.
I have been in the early childhood education field for 10 years. My previous experiences include working as a classroom teacher at a lab school, working in state government on early childhood quality initiatives, and training and educating early childhood professionals across the state. I am passionate about building leadership capacity within early childhood professionals and providing intentional and meaningful experiences for children and families.
I completed my B.S., in Family Studies with a specialization in Child Advocacy and Family Policies, at the University of New Hampshire and my M.Ed in Early Childhood Education and Administration, at Champlain College. I hold a NH Early Childhood Master Professional credential with the following endorsements: Workshop Trainer, Faculty, Individual Mentor, and Program Consultant. A few of my professional interests include early childhood leadership, intentional classroom environments, including outdoor environments, inquiry based/emergent curriculum, relationship and strength based practices, and social and emotional development of young children.
I currently live in Pittsfield with my fiancé Jared.
