SW Students Travel to Ireland
Students traveled to Ireland May 24-June 5 for the Comparitive Social Welfare Systems course offered by the UNH Social Work Department. A major focus of the course is understanding the dynamics of "Irish/Anglo troubles", the oppression and trauma of the violent years and most importantly, how a community and individuals heal. This year, students visited (to name a few) the Belfest Murals, trails in Howth, the Dublin Chapel, the Gate Theater, New Grange, and Trinity College.
