The Browne Center's Jeff Frigon Stops in with RMP 557 Class
Recently, Sean McLaughlin’s RMP 557 Program and Event Design class had special guest Jeff Frigon from The Browne Center deliver a program to this group of students. Jeff began with important but subtle things like welcoming each student at the door with a handshake and smile, and moved through an intentional, cumulative series of activities designed to engage students in activity and conversation about their own strengths and “gaps” or weaknesses as group members as well as those successes and challenges within their small project groups. Jeff’s program culminated in a small group challenge that allowed students to practice their group processes using their recently learned information and effectively served as a model for program implementation from start to finish. Intended to assist the students in the design of their own programs, which will be implemented in small groups during the semester here on campus, Jeff’s program was an experiential and effective demonstration. Below are a few pictures from the workshop.
