Welcome to the CSDC Community!
Welcome to the CSDC community!
CSDC has an “open door policy” for our families; we encourage you to visit at any time to observe or participate in the program. Your teachers can provide you with the daily schedule including naptimes. As a University Laboratory School, our teachers are used to being observed by some 300 visitors and 500 UNH student observers every year! Each classroom is equipped with an observation booth that you are welcome to use. If your child is experiencing transition difficulties or you would like to become more involved in the curriculum, please make sure to talk with one of the teachers in advance. Your teachers are happy to organize a time to meet when they are not in the classroom.
We also have an open door policy with regard to family feedback on our programs. Our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meets monthly during the academic year. You are welcome to join the PAC as a classroom representative or to simply attend a meeting. Throughout the year, keep your eyes open for a variety of events planned for you, including center-wide events such as the Harvest Festival, Fall Curriculum Night, and Literacy Week. We value your participation at CSDC and recognize that our work can only be effective if we establish a trusting and respectful relationship with you – your child’s first and most important teacher!
Welcome to the world of CSDC!
Inquiries regarding CSDC tuition adjustments, billing, and receipts for tax purposes should be directed to Nicole Runde, our Business Service Contact (BSC) representative at Hewitt Hall on the main campus. Please feel free to contact Nicole if you have any questions at 603-862-5036 or by email at email@example.com.
We will send out emails, record a new voicemail on our main line (862-2835), post information on our website and possibly even make phone calls depending on the situation (early closure) and ability to do so.
We do suggest that you sign-up for the UNH Alerts which will notify you via text message or email as you request.
UNH Child Study and Development Center
- Winter & Storm Info -
CSDC follows UNH decisions with regard to closings or delays. Therefore, if UNH curtails operations or delays opening, so does the center. The best way to obtain information is to call the UNH Storm Info Line (862-0000) regarding closures and delayed openings. If UNH announces a delayed opening at the University for storm/winter related issues the decision is usually made by 4:00 am.
Our Administrative Assistant will place a message on WMUR TV Ch. 9, which will indicate when CSDC will open or if we are closed for the day.
FYI: Full-time program families can drop off a half-hour before UNH delayed opening time. Morning Nursery will begin a half-hour after UNH delayed opening time or will be cancelled if UNH begins operations after 10:00 am.
