Anne specializes in child and family welfare, with a primary focus on inequitable treatment of children and their families in educational and health care settings. Her publications include Family Poverty in Diverse Contexts (Routledge, 2009, coauthor Alfred Joseph) and Social Work and Social Welfare: An Introduction (Pearson/Allyn & Bacon, 2011; coauthors Jerry Marx, Fleur Hopper, & Dave Worster) and book chapters, essays, conference presentations, and research articles in journals such as Affilia, Children and Schools, Equity and Excellence in Education, Family Preservation Journal, Health and Social Work, Journal of Ethnic and Cultural Diversity in Social Work, Journal of Poverty, and Journal of Psychosocial Oncology. Anne has served on several journal editorial boards including Family Relations, Journal of Poverty, Journal of Social Work Values and Ethics, and Marriage and Family Review.
