I graduated from the University of Connecticut in May 2017 with a B.A. in Psychology and Human Development & Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Development and Education. I worked in the UConn Child Development Laboratories where I earned my Early Childhood Teaching Credential. I was fortunate enough to spend semesters in each classroom including the infant, toddler and preschool rooms where I truly fell in love with teaching and working with young children. After graduating I volunteered at an Early Head Start program in Haverhill MA. where I worked in the toddler classroom and gained more experience working with young children.
My professional interests include providing sensory play activities for children to explore their environments, establishing a sense of community within the classroom and following the children’s interests to establish an emergent curriculum in the classroom. I hope to begin my Master’s Degree soon at UNH to continue my education in Early Childhood Development and Education. My personal interests include reading, hiking with my dog Jax, and spending time with my family.
