Areas of Interest
My research, teaching and clinical work involve (1) speech and language disorders in early childhood, (2) autism spectrum disorders, (3) developmental disabilities, (4) augmentative communication, and (5) leadership and interdisciplinary practice. In particular, I work in the area of early identification and evaluation of developmental differences, delays, and/or disability; the inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, in everyday activities; and leadership development of advanced graduate students, professionals, and family members in the field of disability. My research involves evaluating program effectiveness and efficacy of team practices. Finally, I have interest in improving the overall system of care for young children and for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. I am committed to training the next generation of leaders in the field. Stop by anytime!
