The Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Employment Policy and Measurement (EPM-RRTC) looks to positively influence the integration of government programs, and ultimately increase the employment and social participation of people with disabilities. Dr. Sundar collaborates with the UNH Institute on Disability on projects (1) defining and measuring workplace accommodations for persons with disabilities and (2) creating a multi-dimensional measure of employment and job quality.
The Kessler National Employment Survey was a recent nationally representative survey of over 3000 Americans with disabilities. The survey findings highlight how individuals with disabilities strive to work and overcome barriers in the light of persistent and pervasive barriers.
The Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Disability Statistics and Demographics (StatsRRTC) aims to improve knowledge about and access to existing data, and generate the knowledge needed to improve future disability data collection and dissemination. Dr. Sundar collaborates with the UNH Institute on Disability on projects examining (1) individual and organizational predicotrs of job satisfaction among persons with disabilities and (2) differences in web-based vs traditional surveys in disability measurement
