UNH research creates new knowledge for understanding and addressing long-term care policy, adolescent and child development, cardiac rehabilitation, exercise physiology, behavioral health and other issues of critical importance in the health and human services fields.

Faculty and staff research is funded by many major public and private sources, including state and federal Departments of Health and Human Services, American Nurses Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, National Institutes of Health and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Each year, our students undertake funded research projects through the University’s undergraduate research programs. The most outstanding students are selected to compete in the annual Grimes Undergraduate Research Competition sponsored by the College of Health and Human Services.
