Hyun Ju Kim joined the Institute on Disability (IOD) at University of New Hampshire in October of 2022. She is working on the NIDILRR-funded Advanced Rehabilitation Research Training (ARRT) program. Hyun Ju’s research interest includes quantitively evaluating anti-poverty programs with a focus on women’s empowerment and intrahousehold dynamics. She plans to identify employment barriers of people with disabilities highlighting on female workers and caregivers. Before joining the IOD, she worked at the World Bank as a consultant and conducted research on structural profiles of informality in the labor markets of the Middle East and North African region.
