Katherine Cox, Research Associate, Institute for Health Policy and Practice

Katherine Cox, MSW, is a Project Director and Practice Facilitator at the Institute for Health Policy and Practice. She joined the team in September 2017 as a Research Associate, after graduating from the University of New Hampshire with her Masters in Social Work. She works primarily in the Delivery System and Payment Reform focal area of IHPP.

Katherine’s current projects include work on the NH Citizens Health Initiative’s Behavioral health Integration Learning Collaborative, the Northern New England Practice Transformation Network, the NH Integrated Delivery Networks, and PACT-MAT ECHO-AMPLIFI.

She has worked at the Institute on Disability as a Research Assistant, on the State Youth Treatment Plan in the workforce sub-committee addressing substance use disorder and co-occurring disorder treatment for adolescents and young adults in New Hampshire.  Katherine worked as a Graduate Assistant for the UNH Social Work Department, and as a masters-level intern at the Center on Aging and Community Living and the Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services at the NH Department of Health and Human Services. Prior to her MSW, Katherine worked as a Program Assistant for the US Air Force Family Advocacy Program which provided intervention and prevention services for interpersonal/domestic violence and child abuse and neglect at military bases in the United Kingdom. 

Her interests include access to quality and comprehensive healthcare for all citizens, behavioral health integration, and building a system of care for individuals with substance use disorder and co-occurring disorder. In addition, Katherine is passionate about person-centered care, patient-directed services, and workforce development in human service delivery fields.
