Ruth James

Ruth James, MD, MPH, is a family physician who came up from Baltimore, Maryland in 2012 to work as a primary care provider at a community health center, where she was involved in starting their medication assisted treatment program. More recently, Ruth started as medical director at a county jail, where they too are expanding their addiction services. Ruth continues to work per diem in community health and urgent care and is also now collaborating with the Institute for Health Policy and Practice at UNH. Ruth is excited to connect with other individuals in the wider community to work on reducing drug-related harms.
