RMP Graduate Student
Meet Kaycee Tanioka - RMP Recreation Administration Graudate Student
I decided to enroll in the RMP Graduate Program because I knew that a Master’s degree would be integral to my career in Campus Recreation. UNH was the best fit because I was able to enroll as a full-time graduate student, and also work as the Intramural Sports Graduate Assistant. Therefore, I was able to immediately utilize my classroom learning by applying it in a practical, professional setting.
One of my favorite experiences in RMP was when my RMP 490 class would meet outside on warm fall days. Being from California, I had no idea how beautiful New England is during the fall, so it was great to learn about recreation while soaking up some sunshine and enjoying the fall leaves.
Following graduation I’d like to continue my career in Campus Recreation! I plan to find a professional position as an Intramural Sports Coordinator.
I really appreciate the tremendous support and flexibility from the faculty and staff in the RMP department. They encouraged me to create a personalized schedule of classes that best fit my interest areas within recreation. I was able to gain a well- rounded educational experience by taking elective classes within several departments RMP, Kinesiology, and Social Work.
I highly recommend UNH to future graduate students because the faculty and staff are incredibly invested in their students! They are a great resource and committed to ensuring that all students succeed academically and professionally. Also, UNH is such a welcoming campus with so many different ways to get involved.
