Services for Children

The Speech-Language-Hearing Center provides comprehensive speech-language-communication assessments for toddlers, children and adolescents. In some instances, families come to the Center for a second opinion of their child’s speech-language-communication profile of strengths and weaknesses, diagnosis and treatment recommendations.

Speech-language therapy for children addresses disorders of language (both comprehension and production), cognition (memory and attention), speech sound disorders, stuttering, and written language.   Parents are encouraged to be active participants in determining treatment goals, and family members frequently observe and participate in speech-language intervention at the Center.
