Associate Professor Mark Bonica, Ph.D., has been named Chair of the Department of Health Management & Policy, effective May 20.
In addition to his teaching and research interests focused on the career transitions of healthcare leaders, Dr. Bonica places a great deal of emphasis on ensuring student success. He publishes a weekly newsletter, RWL (Read, Watch, Listen), and a podcast, Health Leader Forge, as an extension of his classroom teaching, and is committed to finding paid internships for all of his students during the summer months.
Dr. Bonica received a B.A. in English and Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, an M.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado, Denver, an M.B.A. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and his Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University.
