The UNH chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is a pre-professional organization that brings students together to provide community service related to the field, fundraise for causes relevant to the organization, and provide peer mentoring experiences outside of the classroom. NHSLHA is the only national student organization for pre-professionals studying communication sciences and disorders recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Participation in NSSLHA is an excellent way to become involved in the major and to form lasting friendships. The UNH chapter has traditionally been active in community service activities, such as nursing home excursions, fund-raising activities, the annual Walk by the Sea to benefit those with traumatic brain injury, and departmental activities, such as the annual department graduation celebration.
