Advanced Nursing Education Workforce Grant
The UNH Advanced Nursing Education Workforce (ANEW) program provides funding to Primary Care Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner students training in rural and underserved settings.
Clinical Practicum
In the last semester of the senior year, students are placed at a practice site based on their clinical interest, clinical strengths, and preference of geographical location. UNH is one of the few programs nationally to have an extensive senior level clinical practicum.
Department of Labor Nursing Expansion Grant
Elliot Health System has received a Federal Grant from the Department of Labor to create opportunities for individuals from diverse, underrepresented, and underserved backgrounds to either join or advance their career in the nursing workforce.

The UNH Department of Nursing offers three Nurse Practitioner specialty tracks with Doctor of Nursing Practice, post-master’s, and master’s degree program options for all three specialties.

The Department of Nursing in conjunction with the Office of Admissions offers UNH campus and nursing department tours on select days throughout the year, including summer.
STTI Honors Society
The Eta Iota Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International was chartered at the University of New Hampshire in 1984. The vision for Eta Iota Chapter is to be recognized as a center for fostering nursing excellence through research, scholarship, professional development, mentoring, and community and global partnerships in order to influence health outcomes.
