Find out what she has to say about UNH's online MSW program

My name is Victoria Munos and I am an MSW student in the online program at UNH.

I chose this program because I like the flexibility and accessibility of the online program but I didn't want to compromise the quality of the educational experience. I really feel like the online program was perfect for me. I've been able to work and have other outside commitments by doing the online program so it's been a great fit.

I was worried with an online program that I wouldn't feel connection to the university and to other students and professors but I've really had a great community with my cohort online, meeting some of them in person at times. That community aspect is something that I really love and I will remember fondly from my my time in the program.

I think UNH is preparing me for my career path as a social worker by giving me really rich experiences. The internship experiences, our hands-on learning experience... I really can't think of a better way to learn the profession than through internship experience, but I also think being able to specialize and gain additional experience through certificate programs and electives has also really helped me narrow my interests and think about what I want to do when I'm when I graduate.

I would say that UNH does a great job of creating great experiences for online students to make you feel that you're part of the community and that you're still receiving a great education. I really think you can't beat the flexibility and access to the program onlin. What I've found is a lot of the professors teach exactly the same course in person so I don't feel like I'm sacrificing anything by going online.
