The Social Work Department offers 6 half-assistantship positions a year to second year MSW students for one academic year. Each graduate assistant will be awarded a stipend of approximately about $11,000, 50% waiver on tuition for the academic year, a 50% waiver for the technology fee, and a 50% waiver for the student health insurance! Students must be a full-time student next academic year in order to be considered. Students work 10 hours a week for an assigned department faculty member to assist with various research-related tasks, including library research, professional writing and publications and/or computer/data entry or management.
The GA Application is sent directly to students by the Department. Deadline is typically in December.
* You can’t accept this assistantship if you are receiving funding from LEND, Title IV-E, or School Mental Health Graduate Grant.
