Swellness: Clinic for Treatment & Management of Adults with Swallow Disorders
The Sw-ellness Clinic specializes in the evaluation, treatment and management of adults with swallow disorders. The clinic is located in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of New Hampshire and directed by clinical assistant professor and speech-language pathologist, Keri Miloro. Keri continues to be the first and only board-certified specialist in swallowing and swallowing disorders in New Hampshire. WHAT WE DO? The purpose of the clinic is two-fold: 1. Serve as community outreach to help and provide services (evaluation, treatment, education, and counseling) to adults with swallowing disorders and supportive care for caregivers and families supported by evidence-based research and a holistic and person-centered approach. Services are provided either in-person or through tele-health. 1. Provide education and training of graduate students for learning to evaluate, treat, and manage swallowing disorders in adults, integrating evidence-based research and a holistic and person-centered approach. Students are instructed and supervised by Keri Miloro. |
