The Department of Occupational Therapy offers multiple degree options with the field of occupational therapy which meets the diverse needs of prospective students, serves the community as well as professional colleagues and organizations, and focuses research and scholarly activities based on the advancement and promotion of occupational therapy and occupational science.

The occupational therapy master’s degree program at the University of New Hampshire is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). 

The Occupational Therapy Department at UNH has applied for accreditation for their entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctoral Degree program and has been granted Candidacy Status by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). The program must have a pre-accreditation review, complete an on-site evaluation, and be scheduled for Accreditation before graduates eligibility to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapist administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
