Clinical Supervision in Mental Health Practice
Clinical Supervision is an advanced practice skill that requires additional knowledge, expertise, and understanding for mental health clinicians. A developmental model that addresses adult learning needs and offers an integration of ways of teaching clinical practice will be utilized. Supervisory methods & techniques will be discussed & practiced. Ethical issues unique to the supervisory relationship will be addressed in the context of NH Licensure regulations.
Who should take this workshop?
*For clinical supervisors of those seeking licensure with a need to comply with the new state supervision rules:
- Those attendees must hold a mental health practitioner (LCMHC, LICSW, LPC, or LMFT) license that is current, in good standing and does not have any restrictions.
- Must have two years of post-licensure experience.
*Clinical supervisors and others who would benefit from learning the functions and skills of clinical supervision in offering critical and ethical feedback to supervisees.
Presenter Background:
Lee Pozzi Rush is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of New Hampshire where she has taught a supervision curriculum for internship supervisors for over 20 years. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and maintains a clinical social work practice in Bedford, NH, where she has supervised individuals for licensure for many years. Lee is also a consultant to supervisors of MSW interns. In addition, she brings her many years of experience as an Employee Assistance Professional offering training & consultation to local employers/supervisors.
