
Alyssa J. O’Brien, PhD, RN is an Associate Clinical Professor at University of New Hampshire’s School of Nursing. A highly experienced clinician and educator, their expertise focuses on family nursing, with a commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, healthcare innovation, and interprofessional collaboration. She has received funding for interdisciplinary research, focusing on improving community based perinatal services for underserved families and has been recognized with the CHHS Teaching Excellence Award and the NH Nurses’ Association Nurse Researcher Award. She has been recognized by her peers as a skilled collaborator and mentor. In addition to teaching and mentoring future nurses, she maintains an active clinical practice and contributes professionally to STTI, AWHONN, and the International Family Nursing Association.
