<p>Dr. April Phelps is a distinguished clinician and educator with extensive experience in public health, pediatrics, and health policy advocacy. She is a proud first-generation graduate and an Army nurse veteran who has served nationally and abroad. As an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of New Hampshire’s School of Nursing, she is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, healthcare innovation, and interprofessional collaboration.</p>

<p>Dr. Phelps has been honored with the Nursing Excellence Award from the New Hampshire Nurses Association and New Hampshire Magazine for her public health efforts. She has also been an American Nurses Association Institute Fellow. In addition to her teaching and mentoring roles, Dr. Phelps maintains an active clinical practice as a Health Officer in a rural town in NH. She actively contributes to community health education and health policy advocacy by supporting healthcare access for vulnerable populations throughout New Hampshire. </p>
