<div>April Phelps, DNP, RN, CNL, is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of New Hampshire’s School of Nursing. An Army Nurse Veteran and accomplished clinician and educator, April specializes in public health and pediatrics, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, healthcare innovation, and interprofessional collaboration.</div>

<div>She has been recognized with the New Hampshire Excellence in Nursing award. Dr. Phelps actively balances her roles as a teacher and mentor for future nurses while maintaining an active clinical practice as a New Hampshire Health Officer. She also contributes to policy advocacy efforts as the Chair of the Maternal Child Legislative Advocacy Committee for the New Hampshire Nurses Association. She has been a Fellow with the American Nurses Association Institute advocating for nursing health policies at Capital Hill. Additionally, April is involved with the New Hampshire Health Officers Association, American Public Health Nurses and serves as a Certified Emergency Response Team (CERT) member for the Seacoast Medical Reserve Corp.</div>
