
<p>BoRin Kim, PhD, MSW, MA is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). Her research focuses on informal and formal support systems for older adults in relation to their health and healthcare in diverse social and cultural contexts, with funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and internal university sources. Recently, she leads and collaborates on multidisciplinary cross-national comparison projects exploring how these support systems impact older adults’ health and well-being.</p>

<p>Dr. Kim’s scholarship is widely published in high-impact journals such as The Journals of Gerontology: Series B, Journal of Gerontological Social Work, Journal of Applied Gerontology, Aging & Mental Health, and Frontiers in Public Health. She is actively involved in national and international gerontology networks, and serves on the editorial boards of BMC Geriatrics and Frontiers in Public Health.</p>

<p>At UNH, Dr. Kim teaches across graduate and undergraduate levels in areas such as aging and society, introduction to gerontology, research methods, human behavior and the social environment, and statistics. She also coordinates the Gerontology Multidisciplinary Minor and serves on the UNH Institutional Review Board.</p>
