Dr. Esmaeil Bahalkeh's research interests lie generally in the fields of Healthcare Operations Management, and Health Systems. More specifically, his research addresses pressing issues in Health Systems related to quality, access, and flow.

He teaches several interdisciplinary courses across different programs, including Machine Learning in Healthcare for MS in Health Data Science program, Healthcare Operations Management for BS in Health Management and Policy program, Quality and Process Improvement in Healthcare for Doctoral Nursing program, and Statistics for Health Professionals.
