<p>Summer Cook, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of New Hampshire. Her research focuses on aging, athletic performance, neuromuscular function and resistance training, particularly blood flow restricted resistance training. She has received funding from National Institutes of Health and the American College of Sports Medicine. Her work has been widely published in top peer-reviewed journals, and she received the Outstanding New Investigator Research Award from the University New Hampshire College of Health and Human Services in 2014, the New Investigator Award from the American College of Sports Medicine in 2015, and the Hamel Center for Undergraduate Research Mentorship Award from the University of New Hampshire in 2025. Dr. Cook is actively involved in the New England regional chapter and national organization of the American College of Sports Medicine.</p>
