Dr. Kelly Nye-Lengerman is the Director of the Institute on Disability (IOD) at the University of New Hampshire. She leads a team of interdisciplinary professionals and scholars who promote full access, equal opportunity, and participation for people with disabilities through research, training, technical assistance, and education. She is driven to make public policies and systems work for people.

Currently her research focuses on inclusive employment, Social Security, organizational transformation, and workforce development. Dr. Nye-Lengerman has authored Community Living and Participation for People With Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, numerous book chapters, and journal articles and technical reports on employment services, vocational rehabilitation, community living, retirement, and other topics. She is an Associate Editor for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and serves on several national advisory groups. She received her undergraduate degree in Social Work and Psychology from Luther College, and her MSW and PhD from the University of Minnesota’s School of Social Work.

Dr. Nye-Lengerman is passionate and committed to connecting research, training, and direct practice work across disability policy and service topics.
