<div>Kerry Jankins, PhD, is a Associate Professor at the University of New Hampshire’s Department of Human Development and Family Studies. Their research focuses on family systems affected by incarceration, early childhood education, parenting interventions, and community-based support models. As Director and Principal Investigator of the Family Connections Center, they lead interdisciplinary research and intervention efforts to support incarcerated parents and their children during and after incarceration. Their work has been funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, New Hampshire Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Recovery, NH Division of Child Support Services, NH Charitable Foundation, and the Linden Foundation.</div>

<div>They have contributed nationally to policy and practice through service on the American Psychological Association’s Task Force on Families with Parents in Prison and the National Incarcerated Parents and Families Advisory Board. Regionally, they have advised early childhood education initiatives, curriculum development, and literacy outreach programs, including the Jumpstart to Literacy committee. Their scholarly contributions include the development of an original instrument to assess conflict resolution in preschool children, published in Psychological Reports. Through community-engaged teaching, they also created a winter enrichment practicum serving low-income elementary students while training HDFS undergraduates in applied child development.</div>
